The Courage to Launch: How Charlie Kirk’s Example Shaped My Faith
Sometimes God uses people we’ve never even met to change the course of our lives. For me, “the courage to launch” came from the late Charlie Kirk, whose faith-filled example gave me the boldness to step out and trust God with this blog.
Charlie and his wife poured so much into encouraging and equipping young people to stand strong in their faith. And yet here I am — a 56-year-old small business owner — saying their boldness also changed me.
They don’t even know it, but their testimony gave me the courage to step out, trust God, and finally launch Kristin’s Bookkeeping Corner with Jesus at the center.
💜 Why His Example Gave Me the Courage to Launch
For a long time, I hesitated. Should I bring my faith openly into my business? Would it turn people away?
Watching Charlie live unapologetically for Christ gave me the answer. He reminded me that our values aren’t something to hide — they’re the very foundation we should build on.
Because of that, this blog isn’t just about numbers. It’s about peace, courage, and clarity — the kind that comes when faith meets everyday life.
Charlie Kirk’s leadership through Turning Point USA poured so much into encouraging young people to stand strong in their faith.

Charlie lived that truth boldly. And in honoring his example, I want to carry a small part of that same courage into the work I do here.
